Tonight after Sue and I went to see Inception at the local theater, we headed to downtown Anoka for dinner at Casa Rio.This was our third time at the restaurant and each time is as good as the last. The friendly staff and excellent food keep us coming back. To the best of my knowledge, they have only been open a few months, so 3 times for us, not counting the time I stopped to pick up some Apple Chimi desserts on the way home from work, is pretty good.
My first time there I had the Mahi Tacos which were excellent. The second time in we brought home some left overs including the Apple Chimis. I received the look of disappointment from my bride, who rarely eats leftovers, when she learned that I had polished off the dessert. I stopped in the next night for a fresh order to take home and surprise the wife. She was delighted. We also brought my daughter and son-in-law with us on that second trip. We enjoyed the nice evening eating on the patio out back. This time I brought along the camera planning on writing a review on my new favorite dining establishment. We sat inside so we could watch the Minnesota Twins game on one of the the plasma televisions over the bar. With a smile and the usual great customer service, the owner Jay even moved a plant out of my sight line so I could clearly see the game. Our server Leslie was all smiles and efficiently took care of us as had the servers on our previous visits. Good attitude and customer service is certainly a priority with these folks as they let patrons know that they appreciate the business.
The atmosphere is warm and comfortable and the welcome feeling is wonderful. The prices are budget friendly and the portions are worthy of the cost. After three trips for dinner, I have nothing poor to say about this newest addition to our downtown area. More pictures and the menu can be found on their Facebook page which I linked below my pictures.

Chips while waiting with an excellent salsa. The spicy queso dip was extra but very rich and flavorful.

John had the Carnitas. Basically fajitas with pork. It was excellent.

Sue had Aroz Con Pollo. Very tasty mesquite grilled chicken with ranchero cheese sauce over rice.
