I am involved with a group that regularly goes on assignments and field activities. As such, deadlines are important for participation, planning and the logistics of the event. On the surface it doesn’t seem as though the deadlines are all that important that they need to be rigidly enforced, but that’s the surface.Add a comment
2 Kings 2:19-22 NKJV
19 Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground barren.”
20 And he said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. 21 Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’” 22 So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.

Romans 8:12-17, Sonship Through The Spirit
So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-- for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.Add a comment
Friday, July 31, 2015, was an interesting day for me. I have decided to record some of the details here in the hopes that some would be inspired to draw closer to God. There is nothing particularly special about me and the events described here are not unique to me. Simply put, Jesus loves me, and He loves you as well, and He draws close to those who draw near to Him.Add a comment
Perhaps you have heard the saying, “God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good.” This is one of those easier to believe sayings when times are going well as opposed to those more difficult times. When we are suffering physical or emotional pain, it may be difficult for us to rejoice in the “God is Good” mantra. When we are under great stress or duress, we may have trouble focusing on the goodness of God. When our emotions or our circumstances have us living on the ragged edge, we may be strained to see the goodness of God.Add a comment
