The Work We Do

What work are you sponsoring when you support Truth Driven LLC?

This may be a time of transition at Truth Driven LLC in our mode of operational funding, but the work remains the same.

 The Transition

From: The Tent-Maker Model

To: The Worker Worthy of Wages Model

After a decade of working full and part time jobs while serving in evangelism and discipleship roles, it is time to convert the great prayer and moral support to a more tangible physical support.

This is not a transition to full time ministry as I believe I have always been in full time ministry in whatever walk of life I have found myself in. Certainly over the past 3 years since selling my Kenworth and leaving the trucking industry I have been solely committed to Truth Driven LLC while picking up part time or odd jobs to supplement the income for necessary expenses. However, every minute I spend earning money is time taken away from evangelism and discipleship.

Presently I am investing 45 hours per week when taking into consideration all ministry work; preparation, presentation and post-production. In my prayer time I constantly ask God for the direction He would desire that I go. If He prefer I go work and reduce ministry opportunity, I am fine with that. In my prayer and in seeking counsel from trusted brothers and sisters in Christ, fund raising appears to be the proper direction for me at this time. I am being encouraged to increase the ministry outreach and seek support rather than drawing back and dividing my time.

 Evangelism

Evangelism is at the center of everything I do, whether in person or online. Evangelism has been a driving force in my Christian life since my salvation in 1985. This life is but a blip in the grand scale of eternity. The love of Christ is an excellent means for leading people to the knowledge and joy of salvation. I enjoy sharing my testimony and knowledge of scripture and the love of God with groups and individuals. I always seek to leave a person at a point of having to decide whether they will turn from the world and follow Christ, or not.

My Road to the Cross is the story of my salvation experience.

 Discipleship

The great commission is to go and make disciples.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)

Mentoring and challenging believers to live holier lives is the second focus of this ministry. It is second only to leading unbelievers to the knowledge of the saving grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Discipleship is teaching, empowering and assisting a person in turning from the ways of the world and toward the things of God. It is an ongoing process throughout the life of a believer.

 Recurring Events

Assisted Living Centers

  • Bible Studies - Wednesday Mornings Weekly
  • Church Services - 3 Saturdays per Month

Sunday.Fridley Bible Study

This event is new as of September, 2014. It is a study that I agreed to teach that is being sponsored by a church in St. Paul.

The study is named Prophesy, Today and Tomorrow.

This study was selected for two primary reasons. First, for the believers, the topic is of interest in these days in which we live and prophecy is not often mentioned, much less taught, in churches today. Second, geared toward unbelievers, in these uncertain times there appears to be a heightened interest in prophecy and spirituality of many types and sources. Some seek information driven by curiosity while others are looking for sound information and understanding in uncertain times.

 Other Events

Mentoring

Whether it be formally or casually, there are a number of people that see me and this ministry as a source of encouragement and guidance. There are individuals that I meet with one on one as well as those with whom I communicate online via video, text or email. This is a relationship of ongoing discipleship.

Public Speaking

I respond to invitations to speak to groups when the opportunities present themselves. From a few words, to a testimony or devotional, to a full presentation, I do what I can to share the love of Christ and the joy of His salvation.

Real Life in Romans is one example of guest speaking upon invitation to the Minneapolis Salvation Army Rehab Center.

At the other end of the spectrum I have on occasion spoken to a small group of people at a local senior high rise and led their communion service.

Services

While I have been in conversation to do so, I have not yet officiated a wedding ceremony. I have, however, officiated funeral services. The responses have been good and I have heard reports of fruitful responses to the messages I had delivered.

 Local Church Activities

Being a part of a local church is important in the Christian life. It is much more than simply attending a weekly church service. Involvement in the body of Christ is ministering to one another in the love and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Though over the years I have been involved in a number of ministries and positions in the local churches that I have attended, I am currently involved in the  areas of pastoral care, media during Sunday morning services and leading a weekly men's small group in addition to other church activities.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:23-25)

Times of refreshing are also necessary which is why I weekly attend a Wednesday evening worship service. This service is strictly for drawing near to God in a personal relationship.

"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." (James 4:8)
