A harbinger is an omen or sign that foreshadows a future event. In the Bible the harbinger is a warning of impending judgment. Because God would rather redeem than condemn, the warning He sends is to repent and to return unto the ways of righteousness. As when God sent Jonah to Nineveh, the message was to repent and thus be spared the judgment, in this case destruction.

Jonathan Cahn, in his book The Harbinger, describes the warnings for the United States as the country seems to moving through crisis after crisis. What is in the future if the nation stays on its course? What could the Old Testament prophets possibly have to say about the events of the current day, especially in the United States?
